Just in time for the holidays! We are so excited about this year's Holiday Mini Portrait Session Event! For your convenience the event will be held at two locations. The first location is Park Ave. in beautiful Downtown Winter Park where you'll have a choice of many picturesque backgrounds. The area is known for it's quaint shops and cobblestone streets that surrounds beautiful Central Park. The second location is Downtown Orlando. Known as the heart of Orlando, the downtown area is known for it's semi-urban feel with a touch of the old world represented by it's historic Church Street Station. There you can have your portrait taken next to a real Steam Engine Train or next to one of it's French quarter styled restaurants. In the heart of the Downtown area is Orlando's signature park, Lake Eola. From the Asian inspired gardens and red Pagoda, to it's famous water fountain and gorgeous swans, there is no lack of beautiful backgrounds to have your portraits taken.
So come and join us starting this weekend for a fun-filled session and finish with plenty of time left for sightseeing and shopping!

Morgan {18 days old}

This little man came to my "home studio" with his Mommy and Great-Grandma!

Aha! Caught that ever elusive newborn smile!

Thank you so much Merilyn for coming WAY out here to the other side of CFL for his newborn shoot.

Robert & Donella {MARRIED!}

I had a great time working with Robert and Donella and their family!

Congratulations!

Where have you BEEN?!?

I know, I know... it's been a minute. ;-)
Blame it on Facebook and a slow computer! I was extra busy this summer with several weddings and newborn shoots... that's a lot of uploading and editing! So I've been playing catch up ever since. I ended up just posting previews directly to Facebook.

Anyhooooo (yes, I'm one of THOSE people :-)), I'm going to do a blog posting marathon over the rest of the week! I promise! Seriously. FOR REAL... as Little Man tells me. ;-)

Ok, so, next up is Donella & Robert's Wedding!

Donella & Robert's Engagement Mini Preview (Prt 1)

Talk about a sweet and totally in love couple!

Donella and Robert pretty much spent the whole shoot either laughing or hugging and kissing.

Aaaahh, true love abounds.

Talk about love.

They were just so fun to watch.

Stay tuned for more coming soon.

Blessings and Love,
M

Dale & Na'Shay's Wedding {A mini preview}

When Na'Shay's sister called me to ask if I would be the photographer for her sister's wedding, I was all at once honored and also somewhat floored.
You see in I remember watching this little girl with ribbons and clips in her hair at church with her parents and two sisters.
She was only 10 yrs old.
Her parents were some of the kindest people I had ever met. I was in my very early 20's, new to the church... invited by my "friend" and these people welcomed me as if they had known me all their lives. Not too long after that, my "friend" and I got married and they were there for us.
I was 23.

Fast forward to the present and here's Na'Shay... getting married... at 23.

She looks so pretty and grown up... sniffle, sniff, sniff.

Here she is with her mom, Sis Pittman, as I call her... getting the last finishing touches done and a few last  words of motherly advice.
(Oh and giving me the look for taking her pictures without her realizing it...lol.)
The wedding was at Leu Gardens... one of Florida's premier Botanical Gardens.
With the gardens as the backdrop, the ceremony was simple yet still simply beautiful.

On another post I'll show more photos of the ceremony but here's the part everyone was waiting for anyhow... the kiss.

"Dale, you may now kiss the bride"

And then there are these little things called rings.

Hope you all enjoyed this mini preview!

I'll be posting the rest in a few days so come one back.

Blessings and Love,

M

Bloggie Board Short... Cutest and "classiest" family

This is going to be a short blog post...

Just something short and sweet.

Three weeks ago it was Hat Day at my church. I, of course took some photos of the ladies in their beautiful hats.

One of the ladies, Tamsin, asked if I could take a quick photo of her family and I gladly obliged.

In my opinion, they're the cutest and classiest young couple and now family at our church.

So here they are...

Daddy did a good job of keeping the baby calm although she already had a long day at church and was fussy and ready to go home.

(Btw, isn't she the cutest baby doll?!?)

I am soooo itching to do a real photo shoot with them some day and especially with that little baby doll!

Well, that's all I have for tonight... I told you it would be short... but too much of this cuteness may have given you a toothache!

Goodnight and Happy Sabbath to my church family.

Blessings and Love to all,

M

Engagement Shoot!

This lovely couple are members of my church in Winter Park. So as a backdrop for their engagement shoot we decided to use Lake Lilly in Winter Park's sister city, Maitland. It's their favorite park so it was perfect.

Right from the beginning you could tell they love to have a great time together laughing.

The two of them pretty much spent most of the shoot like this... in the moment for a minute or so and then broke out in laughter.

Here they are individually...

And here again together...

the level of comfort and love between them was obvious.

Another great representation on the dynamics between them...

and just a little bit of fun with the last photo... "Super Cool/ Secret Agents Undercover."

It was fun doing their engagement shoot and hopefully we'll see them again for their upcoming wedding.

Blessings and Love,

Well hello stranger!

Yes... it's been so long since I've blogged... lost my "muse" for a while.
Family issues and events, work, kids in school, home projects and so much more kept me from blogging... but no more. In fact, soon I'm going to move to a new site with a new name (not exactly completely new but just with a little added pizazz). Once it's all done and prettified, the site will be launched and a big announcement for all to hear will go out!
Meanwhile, I'll be testing out some new blogging toys on this site for your enjoyment! Thank you to all who have patiently waited and especially to those who know my family and I that prayed for us...

Blessings and Love you all

A sneak peek of Antoinette & Phillip's Wedding! (Prt 1)

Two and a half weeks ago I had the pleasure of being asked to be the second "shooter" at Antoinette and Phillip's Wedding. I have known Antoinette (or Toni as I know her) for about four years now and was extremely excited when she announced that she was getting married. I was also quite relieved not to have to be the main photographer. This way I could relax and celebrate the joyous event more as a friend.

When I arrived at the wedding locale she was in the process of getting dressed and finishing up with her hair and make up.

Her bouquet was sitting on a chair behind her and called me to photograph it.

I got out of the way and let Pam (the other photographer) take the photos of her meanwhile I went out to the hall to take other photos.

Coming down the isle in her mother's arm was a very emotional moment for all who know Antoinette and her family's story.

Her childhood BFF flew down from New York just to be here for Antoinette's special day.

In the next post I'll definitely have to tell about how Antoinette and her aunt, Aunty Esther (;)), along with several other family members decorated and catered the wedding!

Let me reiterate. Did I mention that she's a caterer and couldn't help but cater her own wedding??? Yes, she's insane.... but we love her anyhow!

IMG_1463.jpgToni

She hand made the sugar flowers on the cupcakes too. And yes, she made the cupcakes.... they had a lemon custard filling (I think... I'll have to get back to you on that. ;-)

IMG_1464.jpgToni

Yes she made the cake too!

IMG_1378.jpgToni

Yes, those are REAL roses!

Here she is with the youngest of her and Phillip's daughters.

There are so many more great photos from their wedding that I'll have to do a second blog post about it! Come back and see the rest!

Blessings and Love to you all!
